Abstract: a fatigue and torsion testing simulation and auniform design of experiment. ISO 14801 fatigue andISO 13498 torsion testing standards for the fatiguesafety factor and the von Mises stress for a two-pieceimplant model are determined usingANSYS/Workbench software. The two-piece implantmodel includes an implant and an abutment with ascrew. The six control factors for a dental implantsystem are used to increase the fatigue safety factorand decrease the von Mises stress. All control factorsare continuous in the design space so a uniformdesign is used to construct a group of simulationexperiments. A suitable uniform table is used for theuniform design to increase the strength. After theuniform design of experiment, the improved designmodel is achieved using the desirability method. Theimproved design has a maximum increase in thefatigue safety factor of 9.6 % and the von Misesstress is reduced by 6%, compared to the originaldesign. The strength of the implant is increased usinga uniform design procedure.
